Will Eli be a Manning?
My biggest concern this year is Eli Manning. He’s been in the system for 2 1/2 years already. He started out hot two consecutive years but ended both years horribly. He is obviously the key to the offense, and I want him to succeed. I just haven’t seen consistency out of him yet. The commentators already call him a future Superstar, and I’m not so sure about that yet.
We need him to lead the way for us. Especially since Tiki Barber is gone. He’s genetically a Hall of Famer, he’s a Manning. When the Giants signed Eli I thought that we would win a few Superbowls if he was half as good as Peyton. That’s because we had Tiki, Shockey, Toomer, Hilliard, and Burress. We had Superstars in all of the key offensive positions.
I want to see Eli fired up and ready to take charge. I want Eli to demand that Shockey and Burress train in New York in the off-season so they can be like Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison. I’m sick of Eli saying “we did some good things” after each game. He doesn’t say much more than that. I want him to get amped each week and lead the Giants to a Superbowl because it’s been a while now.
I want to remain positive so I want Eli to step up and show me that I’m wrong. I want him to succeed, I want him to be a Superstar, and I want him to bring New York another Superbowl victory.

you’re right….
This is the year he needs to prove that the most. We have tolerated enough from him just as much as some other players in the team and it’s time for them to show their calibre. Actions speak louder than words….especially in sports
