RB Position Battle: Jacobs 1, Droughns 0
While most NFL players are fighting throughout the Preseason for the starting spot in their respective position, Reuben Droughns already knows that he’s the number two guy, according to NJ.com. It’s one day before Preseason begins, and he knows he’s number 2…It must suck to be Rueben right now. We already know as an NFL Running Back, Droughns is…not so good.
But we don’t know how good Brandon Jacobs is. We do know that Jacobs was a solid number 2 behind Tiki Barber. We know Jacobs was the exact opposite of Tiki Barber, and we know Jacobs is really big and likes to play Running Back like Jeremy Shockey likes to play Tight End. By that, I mean Jacobs likes to hit defenders instead of getting hit himself. He plays offense with a defensive mindset…and I love it. We know Jacobs can move downfield with 5 defenders hanging on his legs and shoulders. He’s a BEAST!!! So the Running Back position battle already seems like it’s in Brandon Jacobs’ favor.
