RUNNING WITH STYLE
I know I said before that I would rather see Derrick Ward carrying the ball more percentage of the time than Brandon Jacobs. Looking at this man now though has me questioning myself, but would stick with the idea just to keep Jacobs healthy.
Jacobs is doing what I wanted him to do since the first day of regular season. Pound through opponents’ defense and wear them down. What is good about the running back rotation is that the Giants now can pound straight ahead and then switch the speed with Ward or Reuben Droughns to chop in from the sides. The running game is breaking through to the other side and defenders can’t seem to find a way to stop it from becoming great runs. We have become what we were supposed to be and then some. Many view us as even a better team than the Cowboys, but we’ll see them shortly and try to prove just that.
A tough division? Yes. I would say even the toughest division. “On our Journey to the superbowl we will face many challenges and it’s up to us on how we step up when these challenges come around.” It’s my quote for today but TALK IS CHEAP, PLAY THE GAME!
