Moving forward
Understood, Giants lost to the Cowboys. We will see them again soon and try once again to take the throne from them.
After a bye week our Giants were not ready to execute as well as they thought they would. Our first half was full of excitement and the game stood exactly for what we thought it was going to be. A heavyweight collision appeared to be the appropriate term for this throw down. Unfortunately, somewhere in the beginning of the second half we lost focus. I’m not sure if it was due to the coaching or the player execution but our efforts were not enough. To only get a field goal for the entire second half was an embarrassment to the team.
I think our coaching should have stuck to the plan of using a lot of play-action. It is a technique that does not fail us very often so I’m not sure why they wouldn’t stick to this method. We have a positive percentage of made plays due to our fine execution of a play-action call and we could have thrown those Cowboys off their game and brought them to ours.
Disappointed? Yes. Will I stop believing? No. I think the play calling will be adjusted to make sure we don’t get caught off our game again. I still think the Giants have what it takes to win against them or give them one hell of a fight, unlike the demonstration they gave last Sunday.
