Giants Clinched Playoff Berth
It’s official. The New York Football Giants clinched a Playoff berth for the third straight year by beating the Buffalo Bills this afternoon. A 10-5 record was good enough to lock it up in the NFC this year. The game started out ugly. Eli was very generous to the Bills this Christmas as he kept giving the ball away via interceptions, fumbles, or not getting his hands on the ball when snapped. However, the rest of the team was not going to let Eli bring them down. Props to Amani Toomer for getting the team pumped up and making the big plays when they were down 14-0. Props to the 2-Headed Monster, Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw, that rushed for 296 yards and 3 TDs. Props to those that forced fumbles: Osi Umenyiora, Kawika Mitchell, and Ahmad Bradshaw. Props to those that picked off Trent Edward: Kawika Mitchell, Sam Madison, and Corey Webster, and props to Mitchell and Webster for running back the picks for TDs. Props to Tom Coughlin for bringing the Giants to the Playoffs for the 3rd straight season. Props to T.C. running the ball 44 times versus 15 pass attempts. Apparently, he heard all of us after last week’s pass attack. Congrats to the entire team and organization. It’s now time to pop the champagne because the goal of the regular season was achieved. Now we know that we can watch Big Blue play football for 2 more weeks rather than one. The next goal is a tough one, and that is beating the opponent in the first round of the Playoffs. The Jints failed to do that the past two seasons so they need to have a different outcome this year. The G-MEN are still the 5 seed, but that can change by next week. GO GIANTS!!!
