Monday’s Giants Links

On the final day of 2007, we would like to thank all of you who have stuck with Die Hard Giants Fan throughout the 2007 season. We had a lot of fun in our first year doing this. We enjoyed all of your comments during the season and we hope you make even more noise now as the G-MEN head into the Playoffs. We also hope you stick with us in the offseason, in 2008, and in years to come. It also makes it easier writing about the Jints when they finish the season 10-6 and make the Playoffs. It was also special to go through a game of such magnitude like the game against the Patriots in Week 17. It was a meaningless game for the Giants, but it was everything for the 15-0 Patriots. We all know that the Patriots have to win the Superbowl to make this perfect season really perfect. However, I hope we face them again in a month and beat them. For now, we know that we get to watch at least one more game next weekend when the Giants face the Bucs down in Tampa Bay.

Giants were right to go all-out
Injuries to Giants’ O’Hara, Mitchell not serious - This is great news! Even though the injuries are not serious, it does not mean that it won’t impact their play on the field. Both O’Hara and Mitchell sprained their knees.
Escalator malfunction injures fans
Giants-Pats most watched program of 2007 - I buy that…America had an opportunity to watch history in the making and it was available on 4 channels. Also, it was our biggest day since lauching DieHardSportsFan.net. On 12/29/2007, we had 911 visits which is more than double our average daily visits of 408 in December.
New York Daily News:
Tom Coughlin says Giants’ effort against Patriots worth the injuries
Time for Eli Manning to take Giant step into second round of playoffs - I agree with this concept
Bucs rested and ready for Giants
Bay watch starts for Tom Coughlin - At the bottom of this article, Ralph Vacchiano included the teams that the Giants will face in 2008: “The Giants’ opponents for next year are: home games against Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, San Francisco, Seattle, Baltimore, Cincinnati and Carolina; and road games at Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, Arizona, St. Louis, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Minnesota.” They are in no specific order, but it’s good to know. So the NFC East has to play the NFC West and the AFC North in 2008.
New York Post:
STRAHAN: GOOD EFFORT NOT ENOUGH
BIG BLUE BLAST IMPERFECT OFFICIALS - Amani Toomer and Plaxico Burress have plenty to say about the officiating.
