Giants Keys to Victory…Super Bowl Victory
Here we are 3 hrs away from kickoff. All season long I’ve been touting this Giants team just had a different feel then previous teams, and our boys in blue have showed us just exactly how different.
The Giants are heavy underdogs, but can shock the world today. Few things to look for:
The Defense must get pressure on Tom Brady and his great offensive line. If we disrupt Brady we can throw off his timing and limit the deep throws to Moss. We must contain Welker in the slot, the Giants do not have an answer for Welker, I believe the best opportunity we have is to match Ross with Welker and any time he runs a cross the Linebackers must put a hit on him, we cannot let him run clean routes; if that leads to a penalty or two early on, so be it. We need to make our presence felt.
The D-line will have success stopping the run, but I do not see the Pats running much, Brady easily toos 40 passes with a spread offense featuring 4 or 5 receiver sets. The weather and field conditions play into this.
On the offensive side of the ball we must pound the ball with Jacobs, the big man can wear down the old Linebacking core of the Pats and come 4th quarter bring in Bradshaw with his lightning quickness. The running game will also open up the play-action pass for Manning. Eli has been at his best all year long running the play-action, this will open up the field and give Manning a couple of shots down the field to Burress, as we saw the first time the teams met, Burress was able to outrun and outphysical the Pats Defensive secondary.
Lastly and this kinda goes without saying, the offensive line must give Manning time to throw, one of the main reasons we are playing in the Super Bowl is because of the outstanding play of our O-Line, they have kept pressure of of Manning which in turn has helped limit any mistakes by Manning who has yet to toss a pick in the playoffs.
All the experts are not giving the Giants much of a chance to win, but I will tell you this, the G-Men are playing their best ball of the season…can you say that about the Pats? I’m just sayin….
Go Big Blue, this is the moment we have been waiting for the past 7 yrs, lets grab this opportunity and run with it…it’s time to shock the world; shock and awe style
