Post Super Bowl XLII Power Rankings
So I was just looking around for articles about Osi Umenyiora being in the Pro Bowl, and I came across Power Rankings at CBSSportsline.com. I never realized that they went into the Postseason so I stopped including them since the Regular Season concluded. At that point in time, the Giants were ranked 10th coming off of the 3 point loss to the Pats. Going into Week 17, I said something stupid like the Giants would beat the Patriots and move up to the #1 spot. I was wrong about that because they lost by 3 points. Well guess who’s in the #1 spot now after beating the Pats in Super Bowl XLII? That’s right, your New York Football Giants. And there are some quirky things about the final rankings because the Packers and the Chargers are not ahead of the Cowboys, Colts, and Jaguars even though they went deeper into the Playoffs.
