Monday’s Giants News: Carr as backup QB Rumor?

So the other day, I was on the phone with one of our other Giants Bloggers, Phessional. We were discussing Super Bowl XLII. He said that he still can’t believe that Big Blue won. I agreed with him because it still feels like it didn’t happen. Where did that come from? How did they beat the 18-0 Patriots (or what the experts called ‘the greatest team of all time)? How many times have you pinched yourself since then? What I realized is that I’m awake.
Fans Take - Giants fans talk about their emotions throughout the season.
Newsday:
Coughlin matter of fact about new Giants deal - Bob Glauber also wrote about Tom Coughlin’s new contract.
The Star-Ledger:
Giants test-driving Carr - Mike Garafolo reported that QB David Carr will be meeting with the Giants on Tuesday night and Wednesday night. I think Carr can be a good fit for the Giants. Most of the other guys that the Giants met with were really old. David is only two years older than Eli, and has potential to be good with an O-Line. We’ve never seen him play with a solid line. Watching Carr on the Texans was like watching Bledsoe on the Pats before Brady. I never understood how the O-Line became so good as soon as Bledsoe got sidelined, but that has nothing to do with Carr. Carr has a really strong arm too.
