Wednesday’s Giants News: R.W. McQuarters Bio

Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger is by far one of the best NY Giants beat writers out there. He covers the team even when the other NYC papers stop covering football daily. He covered Free Agency better than the other media outlets and I can already sense that he’s about to cover the NFL Draft better than anybody else. I definitely recommend checking out the Giants page at NJ.com.
Did You Know? - Michael Eisen sits down with R.W. McQuarters to discuss his football career.
The Grand Marshall - Michael Eisen pointed out that Coach Mike Waufle was honored in his hometown of Hornell, N.Y. Eisen wrote,
On Saturday, Waufle was in a much smaller pageant, but one that gave him almost as much pleasure. Waufle was the Grand Marshall in the 21st annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in his hometown of Hornell, N.Y. What made Saturday’s parade particularly special for Waufle was that he rode on a float – actually a 48-foot flatbed truck – with his wife, Kathy, and students from Laurie Smith’s third-grade class at the Hornell Intermediate School. The youngsters had sent Waufle cards for the Giants players during their run to the championship in January.
Die Hard Giants Fan would like to congratulate Mike Waufle.
The Star-Ledger:
Giants eye linemen at BC pro day - Mike Garafolo lets us know that Gosder Cherilus caught the Giants attention at Boston College’s pro day.
Their main focus was BC tackle Gosder Cherilus, a big (6-7, 320 pounds), athletic guy who showed some outstanding pop on the bags today. He’s got a great frame with long arms and, having seen him work out in person, I now understand these multiple scouting reports that say when he locks on to a defender, it’s all over for the other guy. I like his size and athleticism a lot.
Garafolo went into detail as to where the Giants may draft Cherilus and how they might fit him into their needs.
