The schedule starts out relatively easy and the end of the season is more challenging. The Jints open up at home against the Redskins. The Redskins usually start out hot and fall off or start out slow and finish strong which gets them to an 8-8 team each year. The ‘Skins play their NFC East rivals tough, but the G-MEN have had their number the past few seasons so I’d expect Big Blue to win the game. The Giants should stomp the Rams in Week 2…nothing else needs to be said about that. The Bengals are a strange team because they have talent but struggle with consistency. It’s a home game so the Giants should win their Week 3 game. Week 4 is their Bye Week, which is very early for them. The Seahawks will be in the Meadowlands during Week 5, and the Giants should win that game as well. That would put the Giants at 4-0 through the first quarter.
The Giants will travel to Cleveland during Week 6 for a primetime game against the Browns. The Browns were a Playoff team in ‘07 which will make this game more competitive, but I think the Jints will pull it off. In Week 7, the 49ers will be in Jersey and the G-MEN should easily manhandle them. The Giants will head out to Pittsburgh in Week 8 to face the Steelers. The Steelers are tough at home so I will give them this win since I have the Giants 6-0 already. The Cowboys are coming to Giants Stadium in Week 9, and the Giants will probably go 1-1 with the ‘Boys so I will give them the home win. This would make the Giants 3-1 in the second quarter and 7-1 through the first half.
The Giants will go down the turnpike to Philly for their Week 10 game. The Jints will probably go 1-1 with the Eagles so I will give the Eagles the home win on primetime. The Ravens will be in the Meadowlands for the Week 11 game, and I believe that the G-MEN will win that game because Baltimore fell apart. In Week 12, the Giants go back to where they won Super Bowl XLII to take on the Cardinals. Usually the Giants haven’t done well when traveling cross country, but the new Road Warrior mentality should be enough for them to win the game. In Week 13, the Jints will head down to the nation’s capital to take on the ’Skins again. I think that the G-MEN will sweep the ‘Skins. That puts the Giants at 3-1 in the third quarter, and 10-2 overall.
The Eagles come up to Giants Stadium in Week 14, and I think the Giants will win the home game against the Dirty Birds. I think the Giants will lose down in Big D in Week 15. I think the Giants will beat the Panthers in Week 16 in the Meadowlands. Last, the G-MEN head to Minneapolis to battle with the Vikings in Week 17. The Giant always had the Vikings number, but recently it has reversed. So I will give the Vikings this game. That makes the Giants 2-2 in the fourth quarter. That makes the Giants 5-3 in the second half, and that would make the Giants 12-4 overall. I had them at 11-5 last season, and they ended 10-6. So we’ll see how this all plays out on the field.

Cleveland was not a playoff team last year-other than that great write up! I have us 11-5, figuring 3-3 in the NFC Beast and 8-2 in all others.

Appreciate the comment Mike D. You’re correct about Cleveland not making the Playoffs. That was the the whole debacle with the Colts and Titans in the Week 17, so they just missed it. I can see the Giants going 3-3 in the division, but 4-2 sounds better.
