Read First Chapter of Plaxico Burress’ New Book
Toni Monkovic over at The Fifth Down released the first chapter of ‘Giant, the Road to the Super Bowl’, by Plaxico Burress, with Jason Cole. I think that’s pretty cool because sometimes I’ve bought books written by athletes and had to put them down. Specifically, I received this book as a Christmas gift once ‘LT: Over the Edge: Tackling Quarterbacks, Drugs, and a World Beyond Football‘, by Lawrence Taylor, with Steve Serby. After reading the first chapter, I had to put the book down because of the language was so foul and the content was so basic. I never finished it even though L.T. was one of my heroes growing up…along with some other coke addicts like Doc and Darryl on the Mets.
