So after the big disappointment for Tiki Barber and his brother, what are the smiley twins up to? It’s been said he’ll be covering some events in the olympics but where is he now? no more Escalade commercials?
Well, can’t say too much against my old boy but what a “sellout”.
Here’s a rundown: His career was fading; He became a fumble star; He got some coaching from Tom Coughlin (how to carry the ball 101); He barely fumbled the ball; He started breaking Giants records; He became a great player.
He left the game for personal reasons but one that he pointed out was his discontent situation with Coughlin. Let’s see…tough love and become great or let career fade into nothing…um?
Yes, we all called him a cry baby and wished he would have shut the “F” up about the whole thing but isn’t it better that we won the superbowl without him?
If there’s one person that our championship hurt the most has got to be Tiki Barber. Aside from talking smack about our team he got to experience first hand the whooping we gave Tampa Bay and his brother Ronde Barber. Plaxico Burress outshined him in most plays and made that Bucs lethargic secondary look lazy.
So as you can see, we were not hesitant to give our new addition Kenny Phillips the #21. Although, this was in memory of the great Sean Taylor, the Giants agreed to this without any regards for Tiki at all. The number will not be removed and now I hope that Phillips gets the job done.
With all this said, does anyone know where Tiki is?

Today is the first day since the Jints won Super Bowl XLII that there is no news in the local papers. So it’s time for Die Hard Giants Fan to reflect back on the year that was 2007. We launched Die Hard Giants Fan in July 2007 on its own domain just prior to the Preseason, and then we moved it over to DieHardSportsFan.net in August.
We appreciate those of you that have been reading our material since the beginning. We hope you stick with us. We would love to add more Giants Bloggers so we can be even better in the future. If you are interested then please send me an email.
In our first season, the New York Football Giants won their first Super Bowl in 17 years. That alone was worth it all. But, Die Hard Giants Fan was invited to Q&A Sessions with other football blogs and newspapers. We would like to thank all of those who allowed us to voice our opinions. Our following grew each month. We just added stat trackers on January 28, 2008 so we are unable to go back to the beginning and check it out. We were only able to check out the website globally, not team-by-team. We would like to thank all of the readers that stopped by and checked our blog out. Readers have submitted some pictures of themselves, their pets, and their tattoos. We would like to thank those Giants fans that sent us their pictures.

Last week, the copy editor, Ron Davis, of The Times-Tribune in Scranton, PA emailed me to see if we wanted to answer 5 questions about the Super Bowl. MrJokah fielded the questions which were published in the Entertainment section today. The questions were intended to be humorous in nature. Unfortunately, they did not publish our website accurately so other Giants fans won’t be able to come see what we’re all about.

It’s the quote of the year from our dear friend T.O.. Who would have thought the Giants would be in the Superbowl? Can it be a Manning back to back combo since Peyton Manning won last year? Better believe it can.
So everyone says the Giants have no shot against the Patriots. That’s the same thing they said about Tampa, Dallas and Green Bay and look what happened. We have been underdogs the entire time and we’re looking like we should have had a better record throughout the season. With Tampa we had a chance; with Dallas we were a definite in everyones’ eyes we were not going past that; Then against Green Bay even T.V. commentators said ok, they’re not getting past this one. So they were all very close games but the main thing is winning. I don’t care how close we came, a win is a win. Who plays to say they were very close though. Our mentality as a team has grown into a denial to lose a game. It does not matter to the Giants that they have nothing to lose. Big Blue wants a win and they have accomplished that with every team they have played so far in the post season. We have become every opponents “worst nightmare” and our intentions are to take out their main weapons.
At offense, Eli Manning deserves the “most likely to suceed” award. Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw are breaking defensive teeth. Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer and Kevin Boss (aside from others who also attribute to the progress) are catching passes like they’re playing with a frisbee.
In the defensive side, The entire line is pushing fat guys like they’re on a downhill. Our linebackers are playing the role starring Antonio Pierce. The secondary is known as the weakest link yet they have managed to shut people the F-up.
Point is, the entire fanbase thought it was going to be Dallas or Green Bay vs New England. New York Giants is going to do what they have set their minds to.
Talk Is Cheap, Play the Game!

Earlier this week, Abu from the Old Skool New School Remix show reached out to Phessional at our Die Hard Giants Fan MySpace page. Abu invited us onto their Public Access show to go pound-for-pound, toe-to-toe, blow-for-blow with three Packers fans about the NFC Championship game tomorrow night. I represented Die Hard Giants Fan by calling up the show, and the Packers fans were onsite. The show was aired this morning on Channel 96 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 10:00-10:30 am CST. Unfortunately, we were not able to give you prior notice since the site was down. The majority of Giants fans would not have access to the show anyway, but if any lived out there then they could’ve caught it. And if Packers fans came here then they could’ve caught it as well. The show will re-air on 1/26/2008 at 8:00 pm CST and on 1/28/2008 at 10:00 am, but the results of the game will already be decided by them. It was fun battling the Packers fans and letting them know why Big Blue will represent the NFC in the Superbowl. We appreciate the opportunity that Abu provided. You can check out the Old Skool New School Remix MySpace page to see what they are all about.

On behalf of DieHardSportsFan.net and Die Hard Giants Fan, I apologize for the site being inaccessible. Apparantly, the website outgrew the hosting package. My hosting company decided to shut it down rather than warn me that it was going to happen. Once the dialogue began, the hosting company had to move the website from one server to another and the process took longer than I was hoping it would. The Giants have an NFC Championship game tomorrow, and the timing couldn’t have been worse. Again, my apologies.
